It has been a number of weeks since my last update on Amber and Indy – we have had a few milestones to celebrate!
1. Amber and Indy were troopers proudly supporting their State of Origin in Maroon and Blue jerseys for every game night! Oh and for the record…Queensland won!
2. Indy has stopped vomiting in the car! He is even sitting in his little car seat right next to Amber. To be honest with you he is still not a fan of car rides; I don’t think he ever really will be. He seems to tolerate the drive in order to get to the fun destination.
3. Amber has made a full recovery from her recent trip to emergency due to a raw bone obstruction and is back to her flittering and fluttering her Wings of Amber. She has also taken a liking to crunchy raw carrot treats!
4. Indy is travelling along really well after his diagnosis of Meningitis. He was originally prescribed 5mg of Prednisone and over a 6 month period the dosage was to reduce every 4 weeks by .25mg. We are now on the home stretch with his current dose at 1.5mg a day – woo hoo! If everything goes to plan he may be completely off of Prednisone in a couple of months! Indy is well and truly back to cheeky old self!
To celebrate these awesome milestones we drove to Forest Lake on the weekend so Amber and Indy could enjoy a leisurely stroll in the warm winter sun.
Life for Amber and Indy….it’s all good!
