On Sunday, 17th May 2015 Amber and Indy attended what must be any dogs most anticipated doggie social heaven event. The ultimate in pack walks – The RSPCA Million Paws Walk!
Amber and Indy’s new best mates Bundy and Charlie usually attend the walk held in Cleveland. So this year we decided to ditch the city and met up with them instead!
Just like preceding years there were the usual suspects; dogs in tutu’s, old pooches pushed in prams, a Staffy rocking a Go-Pro and a first for me was spotting a human dressed as the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz and his super cute pooches stealing the show as Dorothy and the Scarecrow!
Just then the heavens opened and everyone was starting to consider making a mad dash for their cars. Thankfully the weather did clear up in time for the walk to begin!
As we weaved our way through stunning wetlands we spotted ducks, lizards, birds and even a Koala! It is always exciting to spot a koala in the wild with so many photos taken I am sure he felt like a celebrity caught in the Paparazzi lens!
The round trip is 3 km with the halfway point at “Goleby Esplanade Foreshore” allowing everyone room to spread out and grab a shady spot under a tree for a quick water stop.
We are so happy to have decided to check out the Cleveland walk this year – it was a fantastic day and we have all agreed…we will be back again next year!
If you skipped the walk this year…you missed out on an awesome fun day filled with wet noses and lots of big slobbery kisses. Heaven! Don’t forget to mark it in your diary for this time next year!

That sounds like lots of fun! It’s lovely to meet up with lots of other dogs and their people sometimes.
It sure is fun and also helping an awesome cause!
