In 6 days Amber and Indy will be attending what is the biggest and best PAWsome event of the year!
The RSPCA Million Paws Walk occurs simultaneously across every State and Territory in Australia. This year it is on Sunday 17th May. It is expected more than 20,000 people and their dogs will attend one of the 20 walk locations across Queensland alone to raise money and awareness to stop animal cruelty. The goal is to raise $540,000.
I have attended the walk many times over the years, including the inaugural Brisbane walk way back in 1994 with Corey and it was such a success it went national in 1996.
Before The Walk….The Crowd Is Building!
Last year Amber and Indy completed their very first walk in Brisbane which was so much fun and jam packed with dogs of all sizes, breeds and mixes! Amber was in social butterfly heaven while little Indy just a young pup had only “mastered” a lead walk a couple of weeks before; just in time for the big walk.
Half Way Mark!
This year we have decided to check out one of the suburban walk locations for the first time – Cleveland. Located on the western shores of Moreton Bay approximately 25km (16miles) south-east from Brisbane. I have been told the walk is really lovely as it meanders through the wetlands and along the shoreline. It sounds PAWsome!
