The people from “SavourLife” thought my fur-babies might like to try their brand new range of treats? While waiting for the treats to arrive I thought I would check out what they were all about.
After poking around the website I learned that “SavourLife” is a newly launched family owned Australian company that started out with a goal of saving rescue dogs’ lives. Then they created their product range around this singular vision. The company donates 50% of its profits to pet rescue organisations. Yes, you read that right – 50%!
The customer can also continue to be involved after their purchase because each bag of treats has a 7-digit code on the packaging that you can enter into a special dedicated section on the website. This is where you find your rescue dogs profile to share with friends through social media and you can even continue to receive updates on your dog’s progress of finding a fur-ever home.

The range consists of a choice of Australian Beef Flavour or Wholesome Chicken Flavour Biscuits 500g and Tender Beef or Succulent Chicken Strips 200g; they also have their own branded Waste Bags and Toy Balls.
When the packets arrived I thought there was a lot of biscuits and strips in each bag for my tiny testers. I felt it may be a worthy exercise to also pull in a few of my big gun testers – “Bindi” and “Diesel”. They are always ever so ever accommodating when it comes to testing treats!
We Would Love To Try Them!
I typically serve Amber and Indy a raw (BARF) diet along with naturally dried meat or fish treats, avoiding whenever possible anything with wheat, preservatives, food colourings, sugar etc. Yeah I know pretty strict.
I like that the “SavourLife” treats have plenty of the stuff I support like Omega 3&6 Oils, Linseeds, Natural Flavours, Natural Antioxidants, Essential Vitamins and Minerals etc. Albeit they do comprise two things I try and limit. Not unlike many popular biscuit or strip treats, the biscuits do contain Wheat and Sugar and the strips Wheat. In saying that I also figure everyone deserves a yummy treat every once in a while and consider doggie treats along the same lines as “Tim Tams” for me. Indulge in moderation!
Wholesome Chicken Flavour Biscuits, Succulent Chicken and Tender Beef Strips

As the name indicates, the strips are really tender and succulent so can be easily broken in half or smaller for extra tiny dogs. The super crunchy biscuits for my pint sized pups were more than an ample sized treat; leaving both very satisfied. I did resort to breaking them in half for portion control. While they are a perfect sized serving for the big dogs.

Amber is quite a picky eater and often likes something today and quite possibly not tomorrow. Finding new rewarding treats for her is handy and fun! Indy is the opposite and pretty keen to hoover anything down that is presented to him. Amber ploughed through the biscuits and strips in record time; while Indy with his puppy teeth worked on them for ages.

Will Perform For Treats!
In a nutshell, all the taste-testers loved the biscuits and strips and were disappointed when they were all gone. The human parents liked the price (pretty good at $9.95 a bag, across the range)!
